LOOK WHO'S BACK....Ok...if you follow my social media pages you'll know I never really went anywhere. I was still working on artwork consistently, it was just all for a secret project so almost none of it I was able to post so my art posts went super silent for the most part...and here is why....!!!
In November 2016 I met actor, Alexander Polinsky on twitter. He messaged me, we started talking, he loved my artwork and by December he asked me to work on a cool project with him, creating Control Freak artwork. Control Freak is a villain in the cartoon network series, Teen Titans and Teen Titans GO! Alex also voices a whole host of other amazing characters in all sorts of different shows. Alex also played Adam Powell in the 80's sitcom "Charles in Charge" Check out all of his acting credits on his IMDB page here www.imdb.com/name/nm0689168/#actor

Anway, so with his ideas and mine we came up with 4 Control Freak paintings...I also threw in a little surprise and painted a portrait of his beloved dog, Tonic...Something cool, that wasn't planned at all and Alex actually pointed out to me was the fact that the "Freak Out" painting actually looks a little like him. Super not planned at all, no really it wasn't....check the paintings out below.
I had a blast working on all the control freak artwork and during the process, Alex and I become really good friends and he asked me to work on another project with him called "Avatarism". Avatarism is about creating your superhero persona if you will. It's about becoming that person you are on the inside and being that person on the outside, your Clark Kent and Superman. Avatarism can help you let go of your anxiety, let go of your negativity and help you become the amazing person you are and so much more. Interested in learning more? Check out the website www.avatarism.net/ ..So anyway, we spent almost all of 2017 working on artwork for Avatarism working on illustrating an interactive artbook and creating Avatarism portraits for some clients that went through the process. I'm not gonna get too much into detail because I'm not sure how much I'm allowed to say right now. I'm also not going to post any of the avatarism portraits only because they are so highly personal to the client...Avatarism is an amazing life altering and changing game. Life isn't serious...Embody, Uplevel and Uphold....Say it....I'M IN!!!!
While Alex and I only talked via facetime for the past two and a half years we did finally get the chance to meet in person back in October 2017 at Chiller expo in New Jersey. It was a great time getting to finally meet in person after spending almost every day working together. I also got to meet some other amazing people that I met online through Alex and who also work on Avatarism as well. It was an amazing weekend to wrap up my end of the artbook project.

That's not all though...Alex knew my passion for tattoos and knew of my prospect of becoming a tattoo artist. Once we finished the artbook, he convinced me to follow my dream and pursue a tattoo apprenticeship, so I did just that and in the beginning of November 2017 I started work as an apprentice at my very first tattoo shop....more on that in another blog though.
So if it seems like I took a little bit of hiatus in the past year and a half to two years, then, now you know why. But I'm finally getting back to my own artwork now which means artwork that I can actually post so be on the look out for more pretty paintings coming from me.
Forgive me because I've been meaning to make this blog post for the past year. I was just too lazy to to find the time to sit down and actually type haha
