Max Goof or maybe I should say Maxine Goof? I've had this idea to paint humanized versions of Disney characters for a good amount of time now and finally got around to starting this series. I was originally going to start this series off with Minnie Mouse but while I was working out the idea for her, this idea for Max came jumping into my head, like bigfoot chasing a steak. So I decided to create this one first instead...In case some of you aren't well versed in your classic Disney characters. Max is the son of Goofy, seriously man, watch Goof Troop will ya? haha anyway, since I am me, I also decided to genderbend Max along with humanizing him, thus human female Max Goof. I had such a fun time painting this. If you're a Goof Troop and Goofy Movie fan you should be able to spot all the references. How many can you find? I created her outfit to be a mix of both Goofy Movie and Goof Troop designs. So in Goofy Movie, Max wears a red tee/hoodie and jeans and in Goof Troop he wears a red tee with a yellow stripe around the arms and purple pants with a yellow stripe down them. So, you can see my gal, Max, has a combo of that along with Max's shoes and hat from the show. The shoes even have a hidden mickey and the Disney "D" on the sole. Her socks symbolize Max's skin and she also has fingerless white gloves on along with being accompanied by Waffles the cat, their pet in Goof Troop, Waffles is never seen in the Goofy Movies. I also tried to keep Max's classic spiky looking hair. Since Max is a skater, I wanted to also give her a skater girl, punky vibe to her overall appearance and design. All her tattoos are some sort of easter egg to the Goofy Movie...Bigfoot with fishing poles, A portrait of Goofy that says "Hi Dad", the Powerline logo, her knuckles say "Goof" and of course there is a Goof Troop Tattoo as well. I loved working on this so much, I might just paint PJ next.
Below you can see the two versions of Max along with my artwork.
Fun Fact: Jason Marsden, the incredible voice actor behind Max actually has a print of my painting...Check out the photo below ;)
